Scott | Lake Minnetonka Senior Photography

It was such a blast photographing Scott for his Senior Photos out on Lake Minnetonka. Scott belongs to my oldest cousin, so I’ve been snapping pics of this guy since he was a baby. Where does time go, why do they have to grow up?! He has turned into such a charming, mature, and fun to be around young man.

For his shoot, we stuck around the neighborhood out in Shorewood on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. The trees were at their prime, the sun was shining, and smiles were plentiful. I find it’s easier to make people relax in front of the camera if you keep the flow natural, light, fun, and just keep moving.

For Scott’s shoot, we broke it up into two sessions. He can commonly be found wake surfing (and doing it well), so we wanted to capture him doing what he loves. We thought of the idea to have him dressed in a suit/formal wear could be a fun twist to your classic senior photo session. The tricky thing was to keep his clothes dry for at least a few pictures, which entailed jumping off the boat, while moving, onto the board while holding onto the rope. He gave it his best! Getting wet never hurt anyone…
